An Apology.

It is time for some repentance. It is time to bring my very bitter, self-righteous heart to God. I need to lay down my pride-filled arrows and see the nicks and pain I have left with my wild shots. It is time to put aside this armor of bitterness - it does not serve me well.

Strength Under Control

How is real power found in not demanding your way and laying down your rights? Today we look at the next two beatitudes and find out why getting our way here is not the point.

Blessed Are Those Who…

If you and I were going to make a list of people who are “blessed” - what would we include? Jesus gave nine statements of what it means to be "blessed" and they are not what we expect.

Power of the Creed

It is easy to look at what is happening around us and feel overwhelmed, sad, concerned and a bit lost. Our country is divided. There is so much violence and hatred. We are losing something precious.... Continue Reading →

Silence Fear with a Step

"Just take one big step." His voice seemed to echo into the night. He'd already said it once before...or was it twice? I felt his hand on my back. Could he feel me shaking? I knew he wouldn't push me in. This was a decision I had to make. I looked behind at the other... Continue Reading →
